I can’t believe a year has gone by past since I last wished all of you a Merry Christmas. It’s a cliche, but I honestly don’t know where the time’s gone. Something to ponder as I reach for another mince pie…
I’ll be back on Friday with my list of the best perfumes of 2013, but until then, I’d like to wish you and yours a peaceful, happy and memorable Christmas. Have fun, relax, make merry… and don’t be stingy with the brandy butter!

Merry Christmas from Hotlanta!! Have a bite of each yummy dish 4 me!! 🙂 🙂 Is Santa bringing dearly needed scents in his sac 4 U and your bride??
Linda, thank you so much. Best wishes to you too.
As for Santa, all will be revealed soon…
That's a beautiful picture! Thank you for all of the excellent writing in your postings during the past year and for information I would not have obtained elsewhere on many fragrances. Merry Christmas!
Sunflowers, I'm very touched by your words, thank you. And thanks for continuing to read my blog. Happy Christmas to you too!
Merry Christmas! I enjoy reading your blog, and am looking forward to your "Best of 2013" list! Today I made a fresh fruit tart with kiwis, clementines, persimmons and pomegranite; also made a lavender custard tart. I got that recipe from Ida Meister, who uses Mandy Aftel's Chefs Essences. Can't wait to taste it!
All the best, Elizabeth
Elizabeth, thanks very much indeed for the kind words.
Lavender custard??! That sounds amazing. I do have some edible lavender syrup at home… perhaps I could pour some into custard…??
