I’m always slightly suspicious of the self-indulgent aspects of nostalgia, but I decided to revel in the feeling when broadcasting the rundown of my top 10 perfumes for winter 2024. And I’m glad I did, because I think the scents I presented in the list represent the astonishing power that perfume can have to evoke a very specific time, even, strangely enough, one that we may never have experienced first-hand.
