One of the most exciting brands to have emerged in recent years is unquestionably Eris. So I was delighted to be able to interview the two people responsible for its success: founder and creative director Barbara Herman, and the man who has, so far, been her sole scent-maker, renowned perfumer Antoine Lie. They popped into my virtual studio the other day mainly to talk about the process behind the creation of Eris’ latest release – the deviously fruity Delta Of Venus – although our conversation touched on several other topics as well, including the reasons for the lack of modern green chypres, the advantages of working as an independent and the questionable charms of durian fruit. Here’s a link to the episode: Eris founder Barbara Herman and perfumer Antoine Lie interview.

I hope you enjoy the video.
