A scoop on Persolaise. Regular readers will know that I’ve often wished Ulrich Lang would reveal the identity of his perfumer. Well, the other day, in my YouTube studio, this is precisely what he did. And he went one better, because he also arranged for this particular scent-maker to join us for part of the interview. Needless to say, the ensuing conversation was fascinating, delving into the issue of perfumer anonymity and whether it can sometimes be helpful to remain in the shadows. A day earlier, I was honoured to host Natalia Outeda, founder of the much-loved Frassai. She talked about setting up her brand, working with high-profile Givaudan creators and how she came to use an ingenious, natural strawberry extract in her latest release.
