You’ve got to hand it to the folks at Jo Malone: they don’t give up. Their latest attempt to convince us that their work is squeezed straight out of the ample bosom of Mother Nature herself comes in the form of their limited edition Highlands Collection — four scents inspired by the vegetation of Scotland. I reviewed them all over on YouTube recently. Here’s a link: Jo Malone Highland Heather, Melancholy Thistle, Mallow On The Moor & Wild Achillea reviews.

All four are no more than pleasant. All of them have zero desire to attract attention to themselves or to assert anything approaching a distinctive personality. All of them end up being vaguely thin-pale-woody. Thank goodness, none of them is especially pink, sweet or juvenile. In other words: standard Jo Malone products. I’m sure they’ll do very well.
