Bohoboco Polish Potatoes review by award-winning perfume critic Persolaise, 2025

It’s probably fair to say that the Polish brand Bohoboco is going through something of an identity crisis. Launched in 2009 by Michał Gilbert Lach and Kamil Owczarek, it presented a pleasant if rather derivative set of fragrances — largely reworkings of bestsellers from other brands — before moving into the inevitable ouds and Gulf-inspired compositions. Since then, it has undergone a change of ownership (only Lach is at the helm) and it now seems to want its USP to be a curious, Slavic-inflected jokiness.
