Believe it or not, half a year has passed since we put away the sparkly shoes and made all those well-intentioned resolutions, which means it’s an apt time to take stock and consider the olfactory highlights of the last six months. Below are what I currently consider to be the best perfume releases of 2025 so far. I hasten to stress the ‘currently’. All being well, at the end of December, I’ll be putting together my Top 10 of the whole of the year, and by then my views may have changed considerably: some, perhaps even all, of the fragrances below may find that that they haven’t made it to the final rundown. So please don’t hold me to this list! It is, like all such things, a snapshot. But hopefully a thought-provoking one.
