Perfume feels increasingly trivial at a time when more corners of the world are being plunged into darkness. But joy is never trivial. So as spring turns to summer, I wanted my next seasonal Top 10 list to do its own very modest bit and remind anyone watching or reading that we must always do whatever we can to keep despair at bay.
