If all the spam advertising emails are to be believed, autumn is the time for curling up on a sofa with a warm blanket and a mug of hot chocolate. But what if this somewhat individualistic image could be extended to include other people? That’s the kind of thinking that was on my mind when I compiled my latest seasonal top 10: a list of perfumes that draw people in and bring them together, rather than putting up barriers between them. Here’s a link to the unashamedly idealistic YouTube broadcast, followed by the complete rundown of scents covered, with timestamps: Top 10 perfumes for autumn 2024.
Christian Dior Spice Blend (Francois Demachy) 8:24
Arquiste Almond Suede (Calice Becker) 14:00
Ormonde Jayne Ormonde Man (Geza Schoen) 20:17

In the words of E M Forster: only connect.
