I headed deeper into autumn over on YouTube the other day, with a video that focussed on some seasonal candles, as well as a few new perfume releases and a look at Argentum, a brand that certainly doesn’t hold back with the packaging. Here’s a link to the episode: Bjork & Berries Botanist, Argentum Magician, Argentum Lover, Peosym Lost Wonderer, candles from Ostens, Paul Smith, Penhaligon’s, Ginori 1735, Acqua Di Parma, Henry’s Townhouse, Frederic Malle, Miller Harris reviews. And for a complete list of everything I covered, with time-stamps, please keep scrolling.

Bjork & Berries Botanist 3:10
Acqua Di Parma Colonia limited edition bottle 10:38
Argentum Magician 12:18
Argentum Lover 23:30
Henry’s Townhouse Saturnalia candle 27:55
Ginori 1735 Rajathra Palace candle 31:15
Paul Smith Bookworm candle 32:30
Acqua Di Parma Magia Del Camino candle 35:25
Penhaligon’s Sinking Oud candle 36:33
Miller Harris Tea and Tabac candles 37:59
Frederic Malle Joyeux Noel candle 39:05
Ostens Jasmine, Rose and Cashmeran Velvet candles 40:00
Ulrich Lange Lethe 45:32
Peosym Lost Wonderer 46:53

Of the perfumes above, the two I’d recommend are Lethe (which I wrote about at this link) as well as Lost Wonderer, chiefly for its honest, unpretentious handling of a spicy amber accord. And as for the candles: my heart still belongs to Ostens Jasmine. Fleshy, bold and textured, it may well be one of the finest home scents I have ever encountered.
