We were treated to a glimpse into the eclectic world of Parfums Quartana a few days ago when the brand’s founder, Joseph Quartana, came into my virtual studio for an interview. Our chat covered a breathtakingly broad range of subjects, from ancient Greek theology to John Cage’s 4’33” and a description of a near-death experience that caused Quartana to rethink his entire approach to olfactory work. Of course, we also made some time to discuss his latest release, Ierofante, composed by Luca Maffei. Here’s a link to the video: Joseph Quartana live interview.
