I was delighted to welcome the incomparable Sali Hughes into my virtual studio the other day. One of the world’s leading beauty journalists, she has written for Vogue, Grazia, Good Housekeeping and many, many others. As most of you will know, she is The Guardian’s resident beauty columnist — a position she has held for over 10 years. She is a best-selling writer: her next book, Everything Is Washable, comes out in September. She is the co-founder of the Beauty Banks charity. She has a huge social media following, notably on Instagram and YouTube. And to top it all off, she is an unashamed perfume geek. So as you can imagine, there was a great deal to discuss with her. We talked about why we never see negative perfume reviews in mainstream media, what her favourite scents are from various brands and whether she’d ever be interested in creating her own fragrance range. Here’s a link to the video: Sali Hughes interview.
