A rare example of a perfume that does precisely what it says on the tin was reviewed in episode 154 of Love At First Scent: Juliette Has A Gun Musc Invisible. To watch the video, please click above or on the following link: Juliette Has A Gun Musc Invisible review.
Quiet fragrances tend not to attract a great deal of positive attention amongst scenthusiasts because, by their very nature, the latter are usually people who favour louder compositions. However, perfumes such as Musc Invisible don’t deserve outright dismissal. Putting together a scent that avoids fabric-softener-cliches, presents both the animalic as well as the ‘clean’ facets of synthetic musks, displays great longevity and manages to do all this without ever raising its voice above a whisper is a commendable achievement. A handy piece of work to have in your armament if you ever need to deploy 007-style stealth tactics.

I actually love this perfume. It’s exactly as you described, quiet but pleasantly interesting to want to take another sniff. It makes me feel relaxed and at ease when I wear it. A very comforting perfume to wear, preferably in autumn for me. I like quiet, softer perfumes that stay close to you. Another favorite in this category is Nomenclature’s Adrett by Franz Voelkl. Now I’m on the hunt for a quiet, fresh rose for spring.
Thanks very much for taking the time to write. I’m glad you like the perfume.
