Despite everything else that’s going on, last Friday was the first day of spring and yesterday was National Fragrance Day. So, to mark the occasion, I took part in the annual #smellfie campaign and also broadcast a Love At First Scent video in which I discussed main subject of my photo: Guerlain Nahema, the 1979 classic composed by Jean-Paul Guerlain. You can watch the video below or by clicking here.
I hope you’re all safe and well. Please look after yourselves and keep in touch.

I just revisited your review of Nahema, thank you for this. It is a stunning perfume. Another fragrance that reminds me a little bit of Nahema is Rose Barbare, the version in the original bottle (not sure if it has been changed). It is the honeyed and fruity facets that remind me of Nahema but Nahema feels more baroque to me and has this scarlett red quality that Rose Barbare lacks.
Thanks for taking the time to wrote. I’m fond of Rose Barbare too. I seem to recall that was a more classic chypre.
adding: actually there seems to be no fruits in Rose Barbare so it must rather be only the honey that brings to mind Nahema (and the opulence). I wonder if the peach in Nahema creates this red sensation.
That’s very possible. It is an extraordinary piece of work.
