In my new article for Feelunique, I’ve turned to one of the oldest – and, arguably, one of the most divisive – perfumery ingredients: vanilla. To see which sticky delights made it into the piece, please click here.

The fates permitting, the eleventh episode of Love At First Scent – this year’s first – will be broadcast on Facebook Live (click here) on Friday 12th January at 2:30 pm UK time (9:30 am New York time). In response to my followers on Instagram, I’ve decided to open the episode with the latest Private Blend from Tom Ford: Vanille Fatale. I’m getting nervous already…

  1. I am attempting to read your article but each time I click through to Feelunique, the article appears for a moment, but is quickly plastered over with product ads, and I cannot get back to the article. I really want to read your piece! Help?? Thanks.

    1. Oh dear, I'm so sorry to hear that, but I'm afraid I have no control over how the article is displayed on the Feelunique site. I wonder if it's because they've got their sale at the moment. I'll mention this to their editorial team.

  2. I'm able to read the article, thanks. Surprising but interesting selection. I'm not a 'vanilla guy', but based on my collection my favourites are Spiritueuse Double Vanille, Habit Rouge, Dior Homme Intense and (if this counts as a 'vanilla frag') Musc Ravageur.

I love hearing from my readers, so please feel free to write a comment or ask a question.
