We finally made it happen! A few days ago, Carlos Huber, founder of Arquiste, popped into my virtual studio for a long-overdue interview in which he chatted about his two new releases — Calice Becker’s Almond Suede and Rodrigo Flores-Roux’s Venice Rococo — as well as the position his brand occupies at the moment, the enduring impact of history on his work and whether perfume creation can ever be seen as a political statement.
