Indian sweets, Italian oranges… and oud buried at the bottom of the ocean. Just three of the globe-hopping delights on offer in a recent episode of Love At First Scent, during which I covered new releases from Davidoff, Acqua Di Parma and Peosym, amongst others. Here’s a link: Acqua Di Parma La Riserva, Davidoff Cool Elixir, Peosym Mithai, L’Object Blindfold, Ffern Summer 2025 reviews.

Davidoff Cool Elixir (Anne Flipo, Jean-Christophe Herault & Nelly Hachem-Ruiz) 2:35
Peosym Mithai (Alexandre Freile) 14:15
Acqua Di Parma La Riserva 23:23
L’Objet Blindfold (Yann Vasnier) 34:44
Ffern Summer 2025 (Elodie Durande) 42:31

I’ve got a lot of time for Acqua Di Parma when they handle citruses with the lightness of touch the ingredients demand: their new Riserva version of Arancia Di Capri is effervescent and bursting with the charm of a Claudia Cardinale smile. Equally infectious is Peosym Mithai. I can’t say I pick up on its purported cashew note, but never mind. As is the case with everything else from the Australia-based brand, it carries the unassuming self-assuredness of authenticity. Sweet, spicy and gentle, it is precisely what it claims to be: a welcome embrace from someone you didn’t even know you were longing to meet, until you turned the corner and bumped into them.
