Perhaps because two Aventuses weren’t enough to make us lose faith in humanity, Creed have just released yet another flanker to their inexplicably popular 2010 release. And to the alarm of many you (I must say, I was touched by your concern) I reviewed it in a recent episode of Love At First Scent, together with new works from Gucci, Peosym and others. Here’s a link to the video, followed by a list of all the reviewed perfumes, with timestamps: Creed Absolu Aventus, Peosym Horn OK Please, Gucci A Floral Verse and other reviews.

Creed Absolu Aventus 3:16
Gucci A Floral Verse 13:32
Goldfield & Banks Silky Woods Elixir 22:00
Giovanni Pernice Vita 27:48
Peosym Horn OK Please 32:48

The Creed, the Pernice (no, I didn’t know who he was either) and the Goldfield & Banks don’t deserve your attention, for reasons I explore in the video. The Gucci is considerably more attractive, but although it remains pleasant at all times, its green-floral core doesn’t quite manage to shake off its generic, flight-attendant-smile hollowness. The one to seek out is Peosym Horn OK Please: a life-loving, figgy-spicy sandalwood, full of the ancientness and vitality of India. One spray, and I want to be on Connaught Place, hailing a rickshaw.
