It’s not easy to produce scents that stand out without being polarising or unusual in some way. This creative conundrum came up recently when I interviewed Francisco Gratacos, the Barcelona-based founder of Wilgermain — a brand whose scents have all been made by none other than Rodrigo Flores-Roux. In addition to discussing his aesthetic vision for Wilgermain, Francisco talked about his experiences at Ramon Monegal and his love of classical perfumery. Needless to say, he also went through the stories behind some of his own compositions. Here’s a link to the video: Francisco Gratacos, Wilgermain, interview.
