According to a quick spot of internet searching, there have been 13 versions of Bronze Goddess since Estee Lauder first launched the beach-loving scent in 2008. So I guess it’s no surprise that 2022 brings yet another variant: Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Nuit, part of a limited edition range that also includes a few make-up products. I reviewed this latest addition over on YouTube recently. Here’s a link to the video: Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Nuit review.
The original Bronze Goddess was an irresistible, bling-tastic delight: revelling in her sunscreen largesse while downing over-sized pina coladas. Her new cousin is several rungs lower down the deific ladder, shrieking fruity obscenities in the hope of attracting some attention. I suppose we can’t blame her. After all, she’s surrounded by much fiercer competition than her ancestor was all those years ago. But even so, it’s difficult to spend more than a few minutes in her company without longing for a respite from the cloying sweetness and the ersatz white florals. A minor divinity, best viewed from a distance.

Your way with words is so poetic; makes my heart flutter. You have a wonderful gift of writing. So many things said so compactly; it’s always a pleasure to read your commentaries. This “personification” made me visualize what current society “modern” deities are: screechy, in your face, and trying too hard to be accepted amongst the never-ending competition of ego to be viewed as “The One”… thank you for such wonderful review.
With great admiration,

David, this is too kind, thank you. I really appreciate that you’ve taken the time to write.
