Home is a feeling. And sure enough, feelings were high on the agenda the other day when I broadcast a very special, home-centred episode of Love At First Scent with award-winning journalist, Alice Du Parcq. The idea was simple: each of us had to come up with our Top 5 perfumes that in some way represent the concept of ‘home’. The result was far more emotional than we had anticipated, with the two of us delving deep into the past for stories of tough times, deceased relatives and nearly-forgotten childhood haunts. Here’s a link to the video: Top 10 perfumes that mean ‘home’, with Alice Du Parcq.

Sadly, the episode was marred by what were the worst technical difficulties I’ve encountered since I started my live broadcasts. You’ll find more info in the full video description on YouTube, but essentially, there’s nothing but a blank screen from 29:30 to 33:30, so you may want to skip that bit. It’s only thanks to Alice’s patience and can-do spirit that we managed to salvage a heartwarming hour from the glitches. My thanks go out to her once again for her generosity and professionalism.
