Day 12: Plenty mo |
Yes, all right: the picture above is a fake. The handsome moustache I’m sporting in it is part of a set given to me by one of my Movember supporters who obviously felt my follicles needed a bit of help. Here’s the real photo:
Day 12: Lucky punk mo |
Feel free to chuckle/laugh/question my sanity. More importantly: feel free to keep donating. I’m thrilled to be able to say that thanks to the generosity of various relatives, friends and readers, I’ve now raised over £440 pounds for prostate and testicular cancer research! If you’ve made a contribution, give yourself a pat on the back. If you haven’t, please consider doing so. In the UK, one man dies of prostate cancer every single hour of EVERY SINGLE DAY, so it’s important that we try to raise as much funding as possible to help the medical profession find a cure for the disease.
As you’d expect, my little campaign has caused me to reflect on what I frequently refer to as my busy lifestyle. I haven’t mentioned the Day Job for a while (partly because I think you must be sick of me moaning about it) but it is going through another demanding phase at the moment, which means I haven’t had much time for perfume formulation, which in turn means I’ve spent the odd evening feeling sorry for little ol’ me. But I’m trying to remind myself that I ought to be grateful I’m sufficiently healthy to be rushed off my feet. One day, a time will come when my body decides it won’t be quite as co-operative as it is at the moment, and I expect I’ll look back and long for the days when I was too busy to get everything done.
Just a thought.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend,
Persolaise.

Hey, you know good health is our greatest blessing! 🙂 I`m mourning Evelyn Lauder`s passing. When you grow up w/ EL compacts as your holiday/collector/ gift-to-self, and you have been glad!! for the pink ribbon campaign, this hurts. I hope she is w/ thw Lord in her brand new HEALTHY body! 🙂
Linda, I didn't know she'd died until I read your comment. She leaves behind a formidable legacy. And yes, you're absolutely right about health.
