The post-holiday run of Love At First Scent got off to a colourful start over on YouTube the other day with a review of the new Hermes Tutti Twilly, composed by Christine Nagel. Here’s a link to the video: Hermes Tutti Twilly review. And, as per usual, for a few more thoughts on the scent, please keep reading.

Nagel evidently struck gold when she came up with the ginger-tuberose-sandalwood structure of the original Twilly (2017), as the years since its release have shown that the combo has proved more adaptable than most. In the case of Tutti, the twist is a guava-lychee note, but with none of the sickly fakeness that modern perfumery has caused us to associate with those fruit. Here, their acidic bite is allowed to come to the fore, adding a sassy air to the first Twilly’s lighthearted nature. When they launched this line, Hermes demonstrated that ‘youth focussed’ scents needn’t be mindless. Tutti Twilly continues to make their case well.

  1. I haven’t sampled Twilly, but I should even though it’s for a youthfull Miss.
    Why, Hermes Fan Boy.
I just received in the mail a 75ml of TdH Pure Parfum. It comes with a nice 12.5 sprayer too. I love it. It’s a 2021 batch and I found it to have good projection and longevity. Now I have the EDT along with the pure parfum. I also have the Intense Vetiver and a big ol lunker bottle of Tres Freshie. I also have Equipage Geranium, Bel Ami, Rocobar, a few Jardins, Mandarine Ambre, and enjoy them all. So I should try a few from their femme line.
I do need to get Bel Ami Vetiver.
Ya know, I live close to a Hermes boutique and I haven’t gone to it yet.
They did send me 6 nice vials of the higher line to try.
    I need to go.
Hope you and Madame Persoliase are having a great weekend.
