Here’s advance notice of a brand new series coming soon to the Persolaise YouTube channel. On Monday 7th November, at 1700 UK time (1300 New York; 2100 Dubai) I’ll broadcast the first episode of an ingredients masterclass with Remi Pulverail, founder of the Atelier Francais Des Matieres, as well as a brand that is much-loved by followers of this site, Les Indemodables. The plan is for each episode of the series to focus on two raw materials that are important within the composition of a different Les Indemodables scent. In the first instalment, we’ll talk about lavender and tuberose, which play a vital role in Fougere Emeraude.

Remi has so much to say about the materials he uses in his work – not least because of the direct relationship he has with growers and producers – that I felt I had to create some sort of a platform for him to share his experience and passion with all of you. What’s especially exciting is that he’s created a limited edition discovery set of all the ingredients we hope to cover in the series, which is why I’m giving you the heads-up about the first episode today. If you’d like to order the set for yourself, so that you can smell along with us during the broadcast, you can do so at this link: Les Indemodables Grand Crus ingredients box. If you’re in the UK, you might want to purchase the set from the brand’s new retailer in Britain, Sainte Cellier: Les Indemodables Grand Crus ingredients box from Sainte Cellier. (Please note these aren’t affiliate links, which means I make no financial gain from them.)

I should also mention that the intention is for the first instalment to be free for viewing by all, but future episodes may be accessible only on a subscription/membership basis. I do hope you’ll be able to tune in. Finally, please click here for an interview with Remi and his wife and business partner, Valerie, which I broadcast in 2021.

8 thought on “Perfume Ingredients Masterclass Coming To Persolaise YouTube Channel”
  1. I would dearly love to join in with this, but €180 for the ingredients box is just too spendy for this poor, shivering Brit! It seems a bit much to add a subscription cost for subsequent episodes. Hope richer viewers report back.

    1. Thanks very much for writing. Yes, the kit is expensive, but I’m afraid I don’t have anything to do with its price. I should imagine the masterclasses will still be useful to those who don’t have a kit.

As for the subscription — these masterclasses are an attempt to branch out into doing something different on my channel. They’re not going to be videos for the casual viewer, or for someone who has just a passing interest in the world of perfume. There are no plans at the moment to place my regular videos behind the subscription ‘barrier’.

  2. Same question as Karina above. I live in New York City and would not be able to view the class at that particular time. Would I be able to view it later in the evening?

I love hearing from my readers, so please feel free to write a comment or ask a question.
