It had to be done! When Amouage’s Creative Director, Renaud Salmon, suggested that he might be available to broadcast a live video showcasing the brand’s new Collector’s Box – containing no fewer than 45 perfumes – I knew that I could allow no obstacles to stand in my way. And lo and behold, everything fell into place (even Paris’ notorious traffic) and our paths converged at Symrise’s apartment-office a stone’s throw from the Arc De Triomphe. The result of our meticulous planning was a whistle-stop trip through some of the Omani house’s most acclaimed creations (think: Gold, Epic, Interlude, Honour, Opus V) as well as more recent additions (such as Ashore, Meander and Opus XIV) and even four unreleased creations which won’t be available in full-bottle form until 2023. Here’s a link to the video: Amouage Collector’s Box – 45 perfumes with Renaud Salmon. My thanks once again to Renaud, the whole Amouage team and Symrise for making the broadcast possible.

  1. Are these new Amouage samples still the same quaility as the older ones? Those were the absolute best samples I’ve ever come across. I still have a bag full, although I did give a number of them away. The Bhutanses men just love Silver Man. When Twisted Lily was run by Stamatis, he used to always included some extra Amouage samples for he knew how much I loved the house. There’s only a few I don’t have from the 2016 and before time period; Dia Man, Gold Man,Ciel Man, and Silver Man, the rest I have. I would like to get Ciel, and I certainly will be getting Dia Man.My Jubilation XXV is from 2015, but it’s still stunning. You own the room when you wear Jubilation XXV. I have the Amber Purse Spray Mosquee Design Atomizer. The construction is bar none.

    1. Thanks for writing.

I’d say they’re of high quality, but I can’t remember the old vials very well. Also, I only touched one of the vials in this new set. Renaud handled all the rest.

  2. Fantastic 60 minutes, such a pleasure to watch! I love Amouage and have several of them although with huge regret (and not understanding why…) they discontinued Fate and Ubar. Such massive and wonderful fragrances, why did they have to do it? Some of us are happy to remain clients and buy them! As for the new ones, seems Renaud S takes Amouage in a very new and creative direction, yet grounded in quality materials (wonderful to see lots of Omani incense). Which is refreshing to see BUT as long as they also keep the past classic ones which are their traditional signature, with their massive complexity and richness, and not follow the Fate and Ubar route.

      1. According to their customer service both Fate and Ubar are out of stock and not expected to be in production. I asked via mail because I was not seeing them on their site anymore. At least in Europe.

I love hearing from my readers, so please feel free to write a comment or ask a question.
