A few days ago, Alessandro Brun, co-founder of Masque Milano, returned to my virtual studio for another interview. Although the main focus of our chat was on his new brand, Milano Fragranze, the conversation flitted across several different topics, including the best way to capture the smell of Italy, the cosmopolitan nature of Milanese culture and the challenge of working with people with whom you can’t have a face-to-face meeting. Perhaps most exciting was his revelation that he recently discovered – and plans to revive – an ancient, Italian perfume house.
