The latest episode in my Love At First Scent series features a much-anticipated release: the new Amouage Overture Woman, composed by Annick Menardo. As always, you can watch the video above, or by clicking on this link: Amouage Overture Woman review.

True to form, Menardo has fashioned a strange, opaque, unfathomable beast here, playing the tart notes of apple (with suggestions of boozy Calvados) against rose and leather. You think the latter will pull the whole into Arabian cliches, but that never quite happens… and you have fun trying to work out why. A worthy match for the broad-chested sturdiness of Overture Man.
