Best perfumes for summer 2020 chosen by award-winning critic, Persolaise, with Hermes, Chanel, Guerlain

The other day, I ended up going through a few of my old ‘Best Of’ posts. I came across one from 2015 in which I recommended a few perfumes for sunny days (heaven knows what those are!) and I was struck by the thought that I probably wouldn’t change that list at all if I were compiling it from scratch today. So I’ve decided to share it again with you today, as an offering from the dusty Persolaise archives. Here’s a link: best perfumes for summer 2020 archive.

As far as I’m aware, the only fragrance in the selection that’s been discontinued is Serge Lutens Laine De Verre, so as a substitute, I’ll suggest the brand’s L’Eau Froide. A less surprising take on chilled incense, perhaps, but more than capable of warding off the heat.

Wherever you are this summer and whatever you’re doing, I hope you’re safe and well.
