Antoine Lie and Remi and Valerie Pulverail – the creative forces behind Les Indemodables – have just released a new perfume called Patchouli Noisette (click here for my review), which features, amongst other notable attributes, a never-before-used hazelnut ingredient. All three of them came into my virtual studio the other day to talk not just about this innovative raw material, but also about the construction of the perfume as a whole and how they wanted it to avoid both the chypre genre as well as an Angel-style, gourmand structure.
