Maison Francis Kurkdjian Reflets D’Ambre stops being exclusive to Harrods very soon, which means this is a perfect time to give it the Love At First Scent treatment. Many who smelt the brand’s discontinued Ciel De Gum from 2013 claim that this new release is essentially the same composition, made quieter and sweeter. Sadly, I never managed to try Ciel, so I can’t add my own thoughts to that particular discussion. However, I can say that, taken on its own merit, Reflets D’Ambre is an attractive, luminous, discreet take on the amber genre, showcasing Kurkdjian’s ability to balance the elegant with the approachable.
