I made good use of IUNX L'Arbre and drained a bottle of the terrific new(ish) Tam Dao EDP (everything the EDT isn't!) and made up for lost time after so long with little or no tantalum album around. I also finished off the Dries van Noten I had started late the previous winter – this one is almost Shalimaresque in it's opening clash of bergamot with the creamy facets of sandalwood and the vanilla et al (the 'spekuloos accord') bringing up the rear – wonderful stuff. The rest of the time I was enjoying the re-released Yohji Homme (you can stop holding your great – it's great) and Bois d'Armenie. Spring has just sprung . . . onwards and upwards 🙂

Not really, I'm too much of a sleeparound when it comes to oud I guess. 🙂
If I had the cash I would probably marry one of the Roja Dove ouds (a taste of heaven, imho) and quit my philandering ways, but alas there's no way I can justify spending that kind of money…
Still waiting to try the Ex-Idolo offering.

The winner hands down was MFK's shimmering creation – Lumiere Noir PH – of which I had recently acquired a bottle. Goodness does this stuff make me feel glad to be alive!
An old favourite on days when I need to feel comforted is Guerlain's discontinued AA Ylang & Vanille – pure, warming and calming.
Apart from those, I went quite promiscuously oud mad dousing myself from various samples, most of which merited at least a full days' wear if not more.
